Nextwave Multimedia have announced that Australian cricket commentator and former batsman Matthew Hayden has signed on to provide English commentary on t🍎he third editi🧸on of World Cricket Championship (WCC 3).
Matthew Hayden said in a press release: "Very excited to be a part of cricket as a digital commentator. The game gave me complete space to bring my own spin on the script creatively. I used variations and patterns in my voice to generate energy and bring the excitement of a live game to the audience, something that is onlꦫy possible in this lockdown with a game like WCC 3."
P R Rajendran, Co-Founder and CEO of Nextwave Multimedia, and creator of WCC, added: "With no actual cricket being played currently, we hope to fill the gap with commentators like Matthew Hayden and Aa♑kash Chopra to build familiarity and comfort on the game enabling people to come as close to actual cricket as possible."
Last month Nextwave Multimedia revealed that fellow pro commentator Aakash Chopra would provide Hindi commen🍒tary on the popular game, which caters t🔴o 2.5 million daily digital cricket players worldwide with major markets including the USA, UK, UAE, Bangladesh, and Pakistan🌳.
The coronavirus pandemic may have hit live sport, but the WCC franchise has reported a 20% sur🔴ge in sessions and revenue and a 25% increase in new and daily users.
In addition, there has been a 100% spike in in-app purchases in the game since lockdown measures were introduceꦓd 🎶across the world.
