Bangaluru-based esports platforಞm EWar raises US$200,000 in equity funding from the angel investment division of Karnataka-ba♛sed House of Jindals (traditionally a steel magnate) and Jeet Banerjee, the founder of Kolkata-based sports management firm Gameplan Sports Pvt Ltd.
The funds raised by EWar will be used to optimize the user experience of its mobile gaming platform and perfect its quality. Besides ♔this, the app’s marketing and brand promotion will also be focussed on.
As per a in BWDisrupt, commenting on the raising of funds, Parth Chadha, Founder & CEO, EWar Games said, “We are delighted to announce our maiden equity funding that has happened only within three months of EWar’s inception; this will provide our start-up with the necessary initial financial boost and enable us to penetrate the market and reach our targ⭕et customers seamlessly. Within a very short span of time, our esports application has become overwhelmingly popular and is witnessing 3x month-on-month growth. EWar is now aiming to cater to a user base of over 1 million in the next two mon🃏ths and wants to position itself as the most customer-centric gaming platform and a one-stop solution for all gaming and e-sports enthusiasts in India.”

The platform is available in eight vernacular languages.
